Inspection & Cutting Staff (Part-time)

Support the atelier's craft from the closest seat.

At our leather atelier in Mukojima, Sumida — founded in 1966 — this role supports the foundations of the craft: inspection, cutting, and preparing materials. No specialist experience is required. What we value most is facing each task with care.

01RESPONSIBILITIES ── What You'll Do

  • Inspect leather products and parts
  • Assist with cutting, die-cutting, and organizing parts
  • Prepare and sort materials used in production
  • Assist with simple finishing, cleaning, and packing
  • Keep the atelier organized and check inventory

02PERSON ── Who We're Looking For

  • Someone who handles detailed work carefully
  • Someone who follows set procedures and works accurately
  • Someone interested in craftsmanship and leather goods
  • Someone who works well with the atelier team
  • Beginners welcome, if you approach handwork with enthusiasm

03HIGHLIGHTS ── Why This Role

Enter the craft with no experience

Starting from inspection and cutting assistance — the foundations of leather making — you join the atelier's work. No specialist background needed: learn the procedures and widen your work step by step.

Your care becomes the quality

Inspection and parts preparation underpin the finished product's quality. Doing each check and task carefully is itself good craftsmanship.

Support the whole atelier

Cutting, sorting, preparing materials, keeping things in order — you provide the base that lets the craftsmen and production management work smoothly. Not a showy job, but one the atelier cannot do without.

A working style you can shape

As a part-time member you can balance work with life; days and hours are decided in consultation, according to the workload.
