SaaS Business Strategy for a Civil Engineering IT Company
A civil engineering IT company had conceived of a new AI-powered SaaS business but had not yet started verifying whether it could succeed as a viable business. B supply provided end-to-end support, from the feasibility study through to business strategy development.
CHALLENGEChallenge
This Series A civil engineering IT company had an idea for a new AI-powered SaaS business, but it remained at the concept stage. The company lacked the grounds to judge whether the technology direction truly matched market needs and whether the business could succeed. Before starting development, it needed to verify the business's viability, including demand, competition, and profitability. However, the company lacked both the time and the methodology to structurally verify a new business hypothesis and translate it into a business plan. Without the material needed to make an investment decision, the decision itself kept being deferred.
APPROACHApproach
We first conducted a feasibility study on the SaaS business, still at the concept stage, to clarify the conditions required for it to succeed. After verifying market potential and the validity of the business model, we developed it into an executable business strategy. Rather than stopping at research, we provided end-to-end support through to a business plan that could withstand investment scrutiny. Drawing on our own perspective as a principal investor, we placed particular emphasis on building a plan that would not remain merely theoretical.
IMPACTImpact
Through the feasibility study, a business plan sufficient for an investment decision was completed. This helped push forward the decision to begin development. A new business that had been stalled at the concept stage has now gained the foundation to move to its next step.
